Either you're ashamed of the gospel, or you're not. But there are far more sensitive ways to earn the right to be heard.

God have mercy on us all!

I would have shared with him in more words than a nod to let him know whey Jews who do not accept Jesus as Savior are not allowed into Heaven. I wouldn't have just given a facial jesture. If you are going to gain the respect of someone, you need to treat them with respect by not insulting their intelligence. I do give credit to this guy for not lying and telling the player what he probably wanted to hear which was that he was ok and he would go to Heaven because he was Jewish. He didnt back down from the gospel, but yet he didnt present it in a very good way either.

I think in that situation you are kind of darned if you do and darned if you don't. I don't feel that any answer should have been given at that time. I would have made it a point to set some time aside to talk with Mr. Church about what the Bible says. The Pharisees often asked Jesus some doozies, yet, of course, Jesus is all-knowing so He had the perfect answer. These occurances are only going to get worse. We should expect more of it. I don't blame Mr. Moeller(?) for the initial reaction. But you CANNOT answer such a broad question with such a definate gesture!!
